Chamblee Town Center
Chamblee, Georgia
In 2018, the Seven Oaks team led by Bob Voyles won a competition to assist the City of Chamblee on reimaging and redeveloping a downtown city center. Over the course of the next three years, Bob's team met with the city, selected architects on behalf of this city, conducted market research and analysis, and entered into negotiations with adjoining landowners to assist the city with initially envisioning, and later executing a plan for their new downtown. Along with his partner, Randy Holmes, Bob developed close working relationships with members of the City Council and the City of Chamblee administrative staff, resulting in multiple additional opportunities over the next few years.
While of the the office building component of the project was not successfully completed because of COVID and the residual issues with office thereafter, the overall plan produced major improvements to the downtown, including the construction of a new City Hall, repurposing and renovation of the former Tables and Chairs building into an adaptive reuse headquarters for Atlanta based “Wheels Up” concierge executive private jet company and several urban multifamily projects.
